Continually consuming fossil fuels creates an ecological imbalance by producing toxic byproducts in the form of CO2 and acid rain. Renewable energy redresses this imbalance and liberates us from our dependence on carbon-based energy. Helping people discover renewable energy empowers them to make positive changes and to achieve a more efficient, dependable and harmonious way to live.
My great respect for the natural world led me to Paul Smiths College. I received an Associates degree of Applied Science in Ecology & Environmental Technology, and then transferred to Cornell University where I received a B.S. in Plant Science. Employed as a carpenter during high-school and college I also was involved in many new construction projects and renovations. By coupling my experience with construction and my knowledge of the environment, the field of renewable energy presented itself as clear choice for a career path. My background enables me to evaluate sites and manage installations with an understanding of the site ecology and the homeowner's needs.
