Biography
Throughout my life I've had the good fortune to have a very diverse set of experiences and influences that have each, in their own way, shaped who I am today. I'm passionate, driven, and intensely committed to doing what I feel is right, with the goal of perpetual improvement of myself, my work, and the world around me. My approach to business is at once old fashioned as well as progressive; I do my best to utilize the amazing technology available today to connect with my clients and colleagues more deeply, effectively, and efficiently, while providing them with more information, access, and service in the most seamless, satisfying way I can. I genuinely care about the people around me and the people I do business with, and I thoroughly enjoy exceeding people's highest expectations.
Professionally my background is as diverse as it is personally, though for a number of years my focus has been exclusively on solar thermal system design, implementation, and optimization as well as its integration with low temperature, hydronic radiant heating systems. My journey into solar thermal quickly led to Europe, where the industry standards are continually being raised by a robust, virtually exploding market, in an environment that presents considerably more challenges and less sunlight than anywhere in central New York. There I encountered products, designs, and concepts that are driving the evolution of the solar thermal industry around the globe. I have been fortunate to receive tremendous amounts of intensive, one on one training from some of Europe's most respected and experienced solar thermal professionals and hydronic heating system designers; while developing a worldwide professional network of solar equipment manufacturers, importers, designers, installers, and industry visionaries who have proven to be profoundly beneficial to me throughout my journey. My experiences with solar thermal systems range from the design and installation of the smallest and simplest of solar domestic hot water systems, to the full integration of sophisticated combination systems that provide radiant heat, domestic hot water, and pool or hot tub heating, and virtually everything in between. I have a very thorough understanding of the technology, including both its potential as well as its limitations, and I'm totally committed to providing the absolute highest quality systems that work for decades.
I consider myself very fortunate to be part of the region's most respected and reputable renewable energy team. Working together with all of the talented individuals that comprise our company to improve our client's lives and bottom lines, our industry, and the world around us is something that I simply could not be happier about. Einstein said that imagination is more important than knowledge. I believe this to be true - I'm privileged to be part of a team who possesses not only some of the top knowledge and abilities in the industry, but also the imagination and vision to work together to serve our local community and make our world a better place.
